IHSS Quality Assurance (QA)

The California Department of Social Services, Quality Assurance Bureau provides leadership and oversight to county QA activities in the adminstration of the IHSS programs.  This is accomplished through monitoring of county QA activities; updating regulations and related material on an ongoing basis to reflect current public policies and best practice methodologies; providing technical assistance to counties to promote a continuum of services designed to ensure the consumer’s well being, so that they may remain safety in their own home; and developing and supporting the Social Worker Training Academy to ensure that social workers and administrators are trained and understand their roles and responsibilities in the program.
