In-Home Supportive Services (IHSS) Quality Assurance (QA)
The California Department of Social Services, Quality Assurance Bureau provides leadership and oversight to county QA activities in the adminstration of the In-Home Supportive Services programs. This is accomplished through monitoring of county QA activities; updating regulations and related material on an ongoing basis to reflect current public policies and best practice methodologies; providing technical assistance to counties to promote a continuum of services designed to ensure the consumer’s well being, so that they may remain safety in their own home; and developing and supporting the Social Worker Training Academy to ensure that social workers and administrators are trained and understand their roles and responsibilities in the program.
