IHSS Program Integrity and Fraud Prevention

Due to the 2009/2010 Budget Changes, the following information is to inform you of the upcoming stakeholder process for the new IHSS Program Integrity and Fraud Prevention.  The purpose of the Program Integrity and Fraud Prevention stakeholder workgroup is to advise CDSS in the development of uniform statewide protocols and procedures that clarify state/county roles and responsibilities and acceptable activities to be performed for purposes of fraud prevention.  For additional Stakeholder Information.

Required Changes

Assembly Bill (ABX4 19) Fourth Extraordinary Legislative Session (Chapter 17, Statutes of 2009), added several program integrity components to the IHSS program which included IHSS Program Integrity and Fraud Prevention activities.  The following protocols are the result of the Stakeholder workgroup formed to implement ABX4 19:
