Community First Choice Option (CFCO)
The following information is to inform you of the stakeholder process for the new Community First Choice Option (CFCO) program. One requirement of CFCO is to have a Development and Implementation Council, this stakeholder process will occur through this Development and Implementation Council.
- After collaboration with the Development and Implementation Council on November 17th (see meeting information below) and the Department of Health Care Services (DHCS), CDSS finalized the CFCO State Plan Amendment (SPA) and forwarded it to DHCS for final submittal December 1, 2011 to the Department of Health and Human Services, Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS). - Upon submission of the SPA, as mentioned above, the All County IHSS Program Manager Letter (December 2, 2011) was released announcing Community First Choice Option (CFCO).
