Regional Market Rate Survey

The Regional Market Rate Survey measures prices charged by child care providers and paid by parents within a given child care market region. The purpose of the survey is to calculate the market rates for child care in each of California’s 58 counties. The State uses these rates to establish maximum child care reimbursement ceilings within each category for child care services to families in various State and federal subsidized child care programs administered by county welfare departments and other alternative payment programs.
