Civil Rights Annual Plan Due Dates

In compliance with federal regulations and state Manual of Policies and Procedures (MPP) Division 21 regulations, the Civil Rights Bureau requires county welfare departments to provide an annual Civil Rights Plan or update establishing the welfare department's civil rights policies and procedures.

Each Plan is in effect for one calendar year. The Civil Rights Plan is due to the Civil Rights Bureau 60 days in advance of the effective time period (for a plan year of November 1, 2005 through October 30, 2006, the due date is September 1, 2005).

To find out when a plan is due, subtract 60 days from the effective date posted here at the Civil Rights Bureau Annual Plan and Compliance Review Schedule .

The Annual Plan Guidelines can be found in PDF format at Annual Plan Guidelines, PDF or in word format at Annual Plan Guidelines, Word .

Each county must submit an Assurance of Compliance Statement PDF format or word format with an original director's signature.

The Vendor Assurance of Compliance Statement can be found in PDF format or in word format .

If county staff have questions regarding this information, they should contact their Civil Rights analysts, phone the Civil Rights Bureau at (916) 654-2107, or e-mail us at: crb@dss.ca.gov .
