CalFresh (Formerly FOOD STAMPS)

Food Stamp Program Survey of Operations and Access

The California Department of Social Services (CDSS), Food Stamp Branch (FSB) has placed online the Food Stamp Program Survey of Operations and Access. State regulations require that all County Welfare Departments (CWDs) annually complete the survey to allow for the review of individual county operations that provide families access to food stamp benefits. This survey also provides CDSS with information mandated by Welfare and Institutions Code Section 18918, Statutes of 2001, which requires a community outreach and education campaign to help families learn about and apply for food stamp benefits.
