Refugee Summit

 

The California Department of Social Services' 2008 Refugee Summit is an excellent opportunity to stay current on the latest resettlement strategies and new perspectives in serving the State's refugee community.  Some of the many topics that will be covered are refugee employment services, newly arriving refugee populations, funding strategies, consumer protection, refugee families and communities, services for torture survivors and human trafficking victims, and much more.  The Summit will feature a program of dynamic speakers and workshops on strategies that foster success through economic independence and long-term self-sufficiency.  This event offers a unique opportunity for attendees to actively participate and network with federal, state, local, and private stakeholders involved in refugee resettlement.  We look forward to seeing you there!
