AFDC-Foster Care and Kin-GAP Program Rates

The AFDC-Foster Care standardized basic rates for foster family homes are increased by 4.85% effective July 1, 2001. This ACL provides the foster family home rates for children ages 0-4 ($425), 5-8 ($462), 9-11 ($494), 12-14 ($546) and 15-19 ($597). It also provides a schedule of family home rates for Los Angeles, Orange, Santa Clara and Marin County.

Welfare and Institutions Code (W&IC) §11364 provides that Kin-GAP rates are equal to those paid to a licensed or approved foster family home.
