| Item 03-05-01F ACWDL 03-12 -- February 21, 2003 (Synopsis): Medi-Cal Intercounty Transfers (ICT) |
This ACWDL discusses at length the Medi-Cal ICT process. It states that counties must ensure that there is no interruption of benefits during the ICT process. It states that counties may not ask or require a beneficiary to reapply for Medi-Cal or make a redetermination of Medi-Cal solely due to the change in residence.
This ACWDL adds that counties shall not require the beneficiary to complete a
new application or cooperate with a full eligibility review until the next
annual redetermination as determined by the previous county of residence.
This ACWDL describes a new ICT process. It gives examples of case situations and
sets out responsibilities for the sending and receiving counties. This new
process is effective immediately.
