Beginning in April 2003, the DHS will start a process of issuing approximately 10,000 BICs to aid code 60 recipients in Los Angeles County because current BIC information may be used for fraudulent provider billings. The recipient's old BIC will be invalid after a recipient receives the new BIC. There will be no change in health care benefits. The requirement to use the new BIC is not a hearable issue.
