CDSS ACL 98-05 -- January 14, 1998 (Synopsis): Social Security Title II (Retirement, Survivor’s and Disability Insurance (RSDI)) and Title XVI (Supplemental Security Income/State Supplementary Payment (SSI/SSP) Cost of Living Adjustments (COLAs))

This ACL provides the 1998 Social Security RSDI and the SSI/SSP benefit levels that became effective January 1, 1998. The SSI/SSP level for one person residing in his or her own household is $650.40. The SSI or federal benefit rate portion of the SSI/SSP rate is $494 effective January 1998.
