Procurement Geographic Preference Q and A – Part II

Summary

In October 2012, the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) issued Policy Memo: SP-03-2013, CACFP-02-2013, SFSP-02-2013, which addressed recent inquiries on the application of the geographic preference option in the procurement of unprocessed locally grown or raised agriculture products.

The USDA Policy Memo includes a Procurement Geographic Preference Q&A – Part II, which provides additional guidance and technical assistance to previously issued Policy Memos, SP-18-2011 that was issued in February 2011 and CACFP-09-2008, SFSP-08-2008 that was issued in July 2008.
