Welcome to the Examination Information page. The California Department of Social Services (CDSS) offers many exciting career opportunities. When applying to work for the State, you need to take and pass an examination for the career type (classification) that you are pursuing. Completed application packages must include the required examination. Examination bulletins list the minimum qualifications and the steps required to apply and/or complete the examination/assessment.
