CCDF State Plan FY 2019-21 Topical Input Sessions

Child Care and Development Fund State Plan Topical Input Sessions

Session Topics and their descriptions below were dictated by the timeframes listed.

Session	Description
Session 1: Market Rate Survey and Payment Practices-Timeliness of Payments 9 to 11 a.m. PowerPoint Slides for Session 1 (PDF) Video Recording and Comments on Session 1	Lead Agencies must demonstrate how the State payment practices for Child Care and Development Fund (CCDF) child care providers reflect generally accepted payment practices of non-CCDF child care providers in the State—so as to provide stability of funding and encourage more child care providers to participate in the subsidy program. (658E[c][2][S])
Session 2: License Exempt Monitoring 11a.m. to 1 p.m. PowerPoint Slides for Session 2 (PDF) Video Recording and Comments on Session 2	Each State is required to certify it has in effect licensing requirements applicable to child cares services provided within the State, and to provide a detailed description of such requirements and how such requirements are effectively enforced. (658E[c][2][I][i])
Session 3: Health and Safety Requirements 2 to 4 p.m. PowerPoint Slides for Session 3 (PDF) No comments were made on Session 3	The Lead Agency shall certify that the State has in effect policies and practices to ensure that providers for children receiving assistance and their facilities comply with applicable State or local licensing and health and safety requirements. (658E[c][2][J])

The remote hubs listed above were the only sites provided with log-in information for the sessions on December 18, 2017. Participants listened from one of the remote sites through the provided phone connection, and were given the opportunity to speak and share comments during each of the sessions.
