  • The pilot project goal is to develop and refine a scalable model for increasing the purchase and consumption of California-grown fresh fruits and vegetables by delivering supplemental benefits to CalFresh recipients in a way that can be easily adopted by authorized retailers of various types, sizes, and locations in the future

- One of the pilot programs must operate in a famers’ market scrip system POS environment

  1. RFA posting anticipated for January 2020
  2. Pilots go-live estimated summer 2020
  3. Existing dates are flexible and subject to change

There will be a Technical Sub-Committee Meeting around May/June 2019.  Following that meeting we will schedule another Stakeholders Meeting in the June July timeframe.

This is the first meeting of the CF&V EBT Pilot Project Technical Sub-Committee.  The intent of this meeting is to address technical aspects of the pilot project which is not limited solely to the technology.  There are technical considerations in the legislation to be addressed as well as technology considerations to ensure the requirements are clear in the RFA for prospective bidders.
