SOC 242 - Adult Protective Services and County Block Grant Monthly Statistical Report

This monthly report includes data on the number of Adult Protective Services cases opened, active, or closed during the month. It includes the number of alleged abuse reports received, evaluated and investigated by Adult Protective Services. It also includes the number of cases of self-neglect and abuse perpetrated by others.

Notes

Beginning March 1, 2020, all existing reports publicly accessible on web pages belonging to the California Department of Social Services (CDSS) must comply with the CDSS Data De-identification Guidelines in order to more fully protect the identities of the vulnerable clients we serve. The data on this page has been temporarily removed while the CDSS Data Systems and Survey Design Section (DSSDS) is completing the process of updating reports to comply with the CDSS Data De-identification Guidelines .

Statewide Adult Protective Services Data Dashboard

This dashboard presents data submitted to the California Department of Social Services by every county Adult Protective Services (APS) agency in California. Data is sent to CDSS by counties monthly via the SOC 242 data collection tool. Included are the number of reports received, recidivism rates, the types of allegations of abuse, and demographic information on clients.
