Due Process for the IP-CANS within the Tiered Foster Care Rate Structure
The CDSS is coordinating listening sessions in the Fall of 2025 to inform what due-process for the IP-CANS will be within the Tiered Foster Care Rate Structure. These listening sessions will cover topics such as the Notice of Actions (NOAs) to be issued, how an Administrative Law Judge (ALJ) should assess whether the IP-CANS was completed to fidelity if a child or family does not believe it was, and a process for counties to conduct secondary reviews.
