CDSS – CDMIS User Manual; Appendix A: Services Type and Length
Services Type and Length (CDD-801A only)
The Services Type and Length information field indicates whether the child received direct services or sub-contracted/voucher/FCCHEN services. Additionally, this field captures whether the child was certified to receive Full-Time (25 hours or more per week) or Part-Time (less than 25 hours per week) services during the report period.
Where to Find It
The information for the amount of subsidized child care services certified for the child should be in the family file.
In the family file, review the amount of subsidized child care the child is certified to receive.

Frequently Asked Questions
- Should children who are enrolled in a Family Child Care Home (FCCH) setting type be designated to "Direct Services" or "Subcontracted Services?"
- If the child is enrolled in a FCCH setting type, then they must select either C: Subcontracted/Voucher/FCCHEN Services Full-Time or D: Subcontracted/Voucher/FCCHEN Services Part-Time.
- What is considered Direct Service?
- Direct service is when the contracted agency receiving subsidized funding from CDSS is directly serving the children within their agency.
- CCTR, CMIG, and CHAN shall use Direct Service when enrollments are served at a site operated by the contractor.
- What is considered Subcontracted?
- Subcontracted service is when care provided to the child is not directly from the agency. While CDSS does not consider Voucher-Based or FCCHEN programs to be subcontracted relationships, for the purpose of this field, the contracted agency is receiving state funds and then paying providers outside the agency.
- CAPP, C2AP, C3AP, CFCC, and CMAP would use Subcontracted Services.
- CCTR and CMIG programs would select Subcontracted if they are paying a center for child care services provided outside of their agency.
- CCTR services provided through a Family Child Care Home Network (FCCHEN) would use Subcontracted Services.
- Full-Time versus Part-Time:
- This reporting is based on the child’s planned schedule to coincide with Enrollment-Based reporting and can be located on the Continued Funding Application (CCD-26 Form).
- Full-Time: 25 hours or more per week during the report period.
- Part-Time: Less than 25 hours per week during the report period.
