The
Administration for Children and Families (ACF) recently released an Information
Memorandum (IM) to strongly encourage child welfare agencies to collaborate
with both private and public agencies to develop primary prevention networks
and approaches to strengthen families and prevent maltreatment. The IM
describes the benefits of primary prevention and provides examples of primary
prevention approaches happening across the country including San Diego and San
Francisco.
Being the Change
This ethnography features six community leaders who are effecting services that improve the well-being of their communities.
Raising Up the Children
This ethnography features six community participants who are Medi-Cal eligible, as well as parents of young children, working to raise healthy families.
