The Administration for Children and Families (ACF) recently released an Information Memorandum (IM) to strongly encourage child welfare agencies to collaborate with both private and public agencies to develop primary prevention networks and approaches to strengthen families and prevent maltreatment.  The IM describes the benefits of primary prevention and provides examples of primary prevention approaches happening across the country including San Diego and San Francisco.
