Technical Assistance and Advocacy Bureau
Welcome to the Technical Assistance and Advocacy Bureau (TAAB). TAAB is under the Policy, Training, and Quality Improvement Branch of the Community Care Licensing Division (CCLD) of the Department of Social Services.
Mission
The mission of the Technical Assistance and Advocacy Bureau (TAAB) is to provide advocacy, training and technical support to the Community Care Licensing Division (CCLD), to our licensees and to the public in order to promote continuous quality improvement throughout CCLD and to help ensure compliance in the delivery of safe and healthy quality care to individuals served in community care facilities.
Overview
TAAB is home to three programs that provide advocacy, technical support, and training to CCLD licensed facilities, CCLD Programs and the community at large:
Services, Products, and Resources
TAAB provides services statewide to individuals and communities who need information about licensed care, prospective or existing licensees and providers who need assistance with compliance.
Child Care Advocacy
- consultants/liaisons to Child Care Program (CCP), childcare providers, CCLD, businesses, educators, and public at large
- advocate on behalf of children/families in licensing related matters
- develop and provide statewide onsite and virtual training
- develop resources to support CCP and the provider community
Technical Support for Child Care and Residential Facilities
- free – no cost;

accessed via referral through your CCLD Regional Office:
- consultations (information, referral, resources)
- announced facility engagements (virtual/on site)
- individual and group trainings for licensees and/or administrators/directors
- presentations to community
