Family Finding And Engagement (FFE)

All County Letter (ACL) 18-25 has been released, providing guidance and instruction for the Intensive Services Foster Care (ISFC) Program.

CFT brochures have been developed to use as a resource for providing outreach and support about the CFT process, guidelines, and frequently asked questions for youth, parents, and professionals. All County Information Notice I-14-18 provides additional detail about the CFT brochures including how they can be used online via a smartphone.

ACL 17-77 states that Presumptive Transfer means that when a child or youth in foster care is placed outside their county of original jurisdiction, the responsibility for providing Specialty Mental Health Services (SMHS) transfers to their county of residence.

ACL 18-06 Implementation Date Change to Home Based Family Care Level of Care Rate Determination Protocol and Instructions

ACL 17-122 Short-Term Residential Therapeutic Programs (STRTPs) Placement Criteria, Interagency Placement Committees (IPCs), Second Level Review for Ongoing Placements into Group Homes and STRTPs.  The purpose of this ACL is to provide county placing agencies guidance and instructions pertaining to:

1) IPCs

2) STRTP Placement Criteria

3) The IPC and Child and Family Team (CFT), IPC Dispute Resolution, and other related topics

4) Second Level Review requirements for children and Non-minor Dependents (NMDs) placed in STRTPs and group homes.

Medi-Cal Manual for Medi-Cal Beneficiares

The purpose of the manual is to provide Mental Health Plans, Medi-cal providers, children and youth, families, county representatives, and other stakeholders with information regarding Intensive Care Coordination (ICC), Intensive Home Base Services (IHBS), and Special Mental Health Serves (SMHS) service activities provided through the Therapeutic Foster Care service model.
