Mission

"The Immigrant Integration Branch (IIB) at the California Department of Social Services (CDSS) helps immigrants and refugees successfully settle and build stable lives in California. We bring together federal, state, and community resources to connect immigrants with the support they need. We partner with nonprofit organizations, community members, and government agencies to improve immigration services, manage public funds responsibly, and ensure our programs effectively support and protect immigrant communities throughout the state."

About

The IIB works with nonprofit organizations and local governments to help immigrants and refugees feel welcomed and supported in California communities. The IIB provides services for immigrants who are new to the country, including refugees who live or previously have resided in California.

The IIB houses the Immigration Services Bureau (ISB) and the Refugee Programs Bureau (RPB).

The Office of Equity is a division within the California Department of Social Services which houses the Immigrant Integration Branch. The Branch consists of the Immigration Services Burea and the Refugess Programs Bureau.

 

The ISB provides immigrant Californians with high-quality immigration legal services and other supportive services to facilitate their integration into their communities.

The RPB leads and coordinates programs that help refugees and other vulnerable populations successfully resettle and adjust to life in California.
