Welcome to CalFresh Healthy Living (SNAP-Ed)

VISION: A California where everyone is healthy, active and nourished.

CalFresh Healthy Living, federally known as Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program-Education, is the largest nutrition education program in the United States. More than one-third of California residents are eligible for CalFresh Healthy Living. California’s CalFresh Healthy Living program strives to improve the health of eligible Californian’s through education and healthy community changes.

We offer critical resources for Californians with incomes at or below 185% of the Federal Poverty Level (FPL). Our nutrition education programs lead to healthier lives and provides opportunities to enjoy more fresh produce.

CalFresh Healthy Living, CDSS leads four State Implementing Agencies that work together to make information and options for healthy eating and physical activity available to low-income Californians through a network of local health departments, educators, volunteers, nonprofit organizations, area agencies on aging, and other local partners.
