California's New Citizen Review Panels

Social media post 12-15The Office of Child Abuse Prevention (OCAP) is excited to announce that California is implementing three new Citizen Review Panels (CRPs)!  Each CRP will focus on one area of the continuum of child welfare: one will focus on the prevention/early intervention of child abuse and neglect, one will focus on child and family services for those in the child welfare system and a third will focus on critical incidents. The focus of these groups will be data-informed, evaluating “on the ground practice” and policies that could be improved upon.

Each year, the CRPs will make recommendations to the state of best practices that will improve the well-being of children and families throughout California.

We are inviting community members and professionals with an interest in child welfare to apply to be a panel member. If you want to make a difference influencing the continuum of child welfare policy and practice, we urge you to apply.

Prospective members may submit questions and completed applications to CRP Project Coordinator Erin Manske at emanske@bprac.com. Applications must be received no later than
Tuesday, January 30, 2018.
